This media is a presentation about fad dieting, given in the spring of 2024 for my Health Communication class. The target audience was our classmates, but also useful for anyone who has had run ins with fad dieting. To create this presentation, my peers and I took information from scholarly articles about fad dieting and media message impacts, as well as applied personal experience to curate a presentation that was informative and relatable. The learning objectives that are addressed from this media are outcomes 1 & 2. Leaning outcome 1 was reached because my group curated a presentation for our class that fit our target audience, as well and developed scripts that further explained our research. Learning objective 2 was achieved by taking scholarly information, as well as feedback from our peers to analyze the effects of fad diets and their marketing on society.
